walkitoutI foisted my daughter off on my sister, and my son off on my husband, and went, child-free, with my friend I. around the various canyon view points. We had a lovely couple hours chatting without interruption about all sorts of things. Like days gone by! But they will come again, and this was a nice window into what that will be like (and once was).
We had lunch at Canyon Village; I got a bowl at the woks place. It was really good. I'm going to try to reproduce it (rice, carrots, cabbage, peanut sauce, chopped raw bell pepper, crushed peanuts).
After lunch, we all trooped out to Canyon Corrals, but horseback riding was canceled due to flooded trails. We rescheduled a couple different times, but eventually came up with something that seemed to work for everyone. We drove out to Norris and looked at some thermal features. Dinner at M66.
