Having read some of the rantosphere on the subject, I have two comments:

(a) If you have to ask why a condom on the dildo, you need a refresher course in safe sex. Granted, in this case, it didn't help, but no one is claiming this was suicide -- just an accident.

(b) If you have to ask why two wet suits, you need a refresher in, er, something. See, not my thing? But I understand it's all about sweating.

Dude needed close friends he could talk to about these things he was into. And have a monitor. Please. Be safe, people.

I already knew that if the right-wingers are right, I'm going straight to hell; but I feel bad about laughing when I read the end of the coroner's report. Oh, lordy.

1. Um, let's see -- ease of cleaning? Making sure that your toys don't smell like butt and tip others in your home off to where your stash is? In case it's not your dildo that you're using? In case you actually share it for more social sexual reasons?
   
   
2. If it got him where he wanted to be, then I guess it makes sense. I know one person who'd been tying herself up since she was 6 years old -- who knows how long this guy had been into it. Asphixia is probably one of the most dangerous things I've toyed with, and even then it's been with company and my preferred level somewhere between light to where it starts getting my partner excited. The Reverend did indeed need a spotter, though I'm betting that he considered himself completely alone given his community standing.

Gracious, I get nervous when I notice my vibrators sparking. The idea of tying myself up tightly enough that I couldn't wiggle out of it when feeble ... yeek. Granted, I'm not into self-bondage, but still.
