Hi, Rebecca! Glad you got through the episode okay in the end. That stinks about antibiotics being so tough on your stomach. I can see how it would be a toss-up (no pun intended) in that situation. I've had some nasty bouts with mastitis and was very thankful for antibiotics, but they never bothered my stomach, or the babies', a bit (except the babies got funny-smelling toots).

I had an internist tell me to wean the twins due to antibiotics for mastitis, can you believe it? We were about due to fly across the country with them, and I was supposed to be fixing them bottles on the plane and getting breast abscesses from the milk piling up that I wasn't supposed to feed them and ... I can't even COUNT all the ways this advice just stank. Then I called their pediatrician and he said "Nonsense, we give babies that antibiotic directly all the time." (It would have been the HEIGHT of absurdity if I'd actually done it, and the kids had promptly gotten ear infections and needed the same antibiotic!)

I will be down at Washington Middle School tonight, and will wave at your building. Can I come see you and Teddy sometime? I have a cold this week, but after that?
