The day started with JB asking me to call Comcast. She was trying to get a second line to the construction site directly to the house without giving up the existing line to the trailer. No bueno. But that definitely soaked up over 20 minutes of my morning pre-departure to Fusion.

Next up, I got email from the metal artist mis-typing when acknowledging my “no fancy handrails on accufab stairs off b deck”, so I felt compelled to clarify that.

After that, there was discussion about the pillar for the gate to support the hinge, and then a matching pillar to house a package delivery location.

Then there was a failure to send a water report and a summary of the two items (hardness and iron) that might need to be mitigated. I want them mitigated. R. wanted to revisit it a bunch. I got mad because we’ve got some history on him managing well water. We got the water report from JB, and are asking the HVAC person what level of water hardness is going to impact on that equipment, because that’s the big money impact. I want the iron mitigated regardless. There is an open question about the radon content, which I will deal with later if at all.

T. got into The Washington Center’s Academic Internship Program with substantial scholarship that brings it down to an ludicrously reasonable way to spend 2 months of his summer, but we had to talk all that through, including coordinating it with his week and a half study abroad thing before that in Ireland and his trip to Portugal to visit my cousin JT. (Boy, typing that out is a lot of excitement.)

I was really hoping for a completely quiet day today. I did get a shower, so there’s that, but it wasn’t until after I got back from dropping A. off so I haven’t been to Arhaus to discuss pricing on the chairs with them if we pick other than the standardized choices on the website.

Oh, and the corundum beads from alibaba arrived! They are really nice, at least as good as what I got from the etsy seller and obviously much cheaper. The forged curtain rods also arrived, but I haven’t opened those up yet.
