T. departed to return to the dorms before any of the rest of us were out of bed, but I saw him later on Family Zoom.
We continue to eat leftovers; there is a lot less turkey in the container now, and the chicken cacciatore that predates T-day is down to a single serving left.
I walked with M. I walked one mile by myself. I had a delightful phone call with Priestess.
I.’s dog passed; RIP F.
I finished the Interstellar Sheriff 4 book series by Jenny Schwartz. It really took a turn there at the end. The parallels / shared themes and motifs with the Xeno-archaeologist series are notable, but they are definitely very different series in a lot of ways. I think one of the best things about Schwartz’ books is that she explores in some detail the ways that artificial intelligences might navigate “becoming conscious” and their subsequent relationship with their makers. It is extremely NOT a binary, very much a spectrum of responses.
I still haven’t gotten the tree up or anything; I’m distinctly unmotivated. Presumably I’ll get this figured out sometime soon.
