I’ve waited for this thing for a minute. I gave up on my birthday this year, and ordered a paperwhite, a stand, a case. They are all very lovely. And finally, the color kindle is happening.
The stand will still be useful.
ETA:
Priestess is flying home. We had lunch at Tavern on the Square in Littleton. We split the Buffalo Cauliflower, minus the blue cheese. It was yummy. We also split the General Tso’s. Also yummy. No leftovers, but just about the perfect amount of food.
We returned to the house to package up the cocoa nibs for her, and also charge, deregister and give her the Oasis that had been sitting around waiting for a new home. I may send her the Paperwhite I bought for my birthday this year, if the color kindle is delightful.
We headed to the airport, and traffic was moderate. I got to Fusion a little early, but read Matt Levine and laughed a bunch. That was nice.
Piano lesson, but only for R. A. was tired.
For A.’s dinner, I put some chicken wings in the air fryer tray in the toaster oven, along with some tots. They were both done at the same time. After she ate the chicken, I took the bones and covered with water, got the temperature set to simmer and put a lid on it, and let it do its thing for a few hours. When I just now went to check, it hadn’t lost much liquid, so I got that part exactly right, and the bones were somewhat soft and the broth was white. That’s a new one for me — I usually get a ton of gelatin, but white doesn’t normally happen. Tasted great, I think I just managed to leech a lot of calcium out maybe?
