R. took T. to First Look at his dorm room today.

Meanwhile, I took A. to her last day at Fusion. She’s got a few weeks off before she starts again for the fall. Since she had a short day (2 classes, lunch and a homework cafe), and because I had a zoom meeting to attend about doors 1 and 10, I did the meeting in my car in the parking lot. It was amazing! It was definitely one of those, oh, look, I’m talking to the president of yet another company. Capitalism is so weird. I love it, and also, just wild. J. set the meeting up with a former employer, and they pulled another company in. Everyone was delightful. E. is going to sketch something inspired by a door from the company we’ll be getting the interior doors from that I liked a lot. He’ll mod it in a way that would make it from my perspective Even Better, and then produce another sketch for a single door + lights version of the same (main door is double plus lights). I’m getting multipoint, smart locks on both, European hardware, a company that is awe-inspiringly meticulous and extremely to-the-point. There will even be a key (altho multi point = must turn many times to unlock). Indoor hardware is panic — turn lever and push and you are out the door. I was told to pick out a pull for the outside and a lever for the inside from Rocky Mountain Hardware. I already knew where I was going next, and I already knew I loved that brand altho I had previously not had a reason to pick any of their wonderful products.

After a trip to Mack Designer Hardware, I returned to Fusion. I was going to try to pick up A. after class, but she had to finish her science project writeup. We had lunch at Jersey Mike’s, which was yummy, then went back to do her last homework and I had a lovely phone convo with K. i had a few minutes after that, and then I had another lovely phone convo with J. A. arrived and we drove home talking to J. and then it was back at home and a walk with M.

I did FF. It was fun!

A. has really been struggling with T. making noise late at night, so she tried ear plugs and that helped a ton.

J. from the builder sent a couple emails panicking about the awe-inspiring door meeting results, because she figured out that if you get everything you want and it’s totally beautiful, it’s probably really gonna cost $$$. I was like, well, that’s probably fine.

And I think it will be.

Somewhere in there, my amethyst necklace came off and I’m not sure when or where that happened. I reached out to Fusion, but if I don’t hear back I suppose I should try Jersey Mike’s. Otherwise, I hope it turns up in the car or the house.
