We went out to North Bridge and stopped briefly in the visitor center and watched part of the film. We walked over the bridge and went to the Robbins House, which was great. The Old Manse didn’t have a tour for 45 minutes so we skipped. Son picked up us and we tried to Helen’s, but it was closed this week, and wound up at the Colonial Inn/Merchants Row, which was fine, altho it was tricky to find something to order without any milk products. Even the hummus had butter on the pita, and the cauliflower bites had cream and the aioli on the street tacos had cream. *sigh* I had a cobb minus a bunch of stuff and with balsalmic vinaigrette because even the honey mustard had milk products in it. Really. What. I nixed Fiorella’s based on dairy, and I honestly think it would have been easier. Oh well! Son dropped us at my car, and not-son and I went to Hartwell’s and saw the musket demonstration. Very nice!
I walked with M.
I did the 3 mile walk chatting with my sister.
I talked to J. about not son as a possible roommate (I would pay rent) and the situation in general. We’re at the thinking about it stage, which is great, because she had been assuming a woman roommate and this is very different but it’s not an immediate no and she’s already problem solving trying to figure out how to help him with things like learning to drive and figuring out career path and so forth, which is a great sign.
