I hurt my rib (really stupid — lunged over the console in the car to grab something, missed and I either bruised, cracked or broke my rib. Really. Really. Stupid), and I’ve been working on this lighting thing pretty much all my spare time.
I’ll catch up eventually.
ETA:
Ok, there’s at least something for each day.
Today was putting together switching logic descriptions, and keeping track of how many philips switches I’ll need, and just in general when a switch needs to be dimmed, or “smart” or whatever.
I got a call from the builder. That was weird. I had commented to R. that we’re missing a lighting designer, and the builder’s take on it was similar, but I said no Lutron early on. We never had a lighting designer, because I don’t think you can have a lighting designer and not have someone who does “lighting controls”, and by that, I don’t mean what we’re all used to for “lighting controls” (wall switches). I was like, we’ll just use switches and alexa and whatever, and then the architect put in 200 cans and the electrician flipped out and said Lutron was mandatory, and I was like why, and he was like, flicker noise and general unreliability and I was like, valid let’s get rid of the cans and then I needed a replacement and that’s what I’ve been doing for several days now.
The meeting with the architect is Monday. I’m not there yet, but I’m close. I gave them access to the spreadsheet I was working on, but I made a copy after I gave them edit rights and am now working in secret again because I just don’t trust anyone. Sad but true. Things are evolving really nicely, tho, and I figured out the exercise room today. I was so proud of myself, because it dawned on me that I could plant some full spectrum / high CRI / high lumen bulbs right over R.’s bike and maybe the treadmill and possibly one other location, and then during the winter, he could get a workout AND get his “sunshine”. I did some research, picked something, and then punted on the actual fixtures; those might wind up being cans, I’m not sure.
I also dropped T. off at the dealership to pick up his car.
I’ll catch up eventually.
