Monday: Total Eclipse! for some people
Apr. 8th, 2024 07:45 pmI have a friend I’ve known since jr hi (yes, my son would like me to spell that “high”, and also, no thank you). She and her husband have been road tripping and that has been super fun to watch on FB. They’ve been to Carlsbad! I am extremely envious and really love seeing the pictures. Also, they got to see the eclipse in Texas, within the path of totality.
My house is NOT in the path of totality.
However, we visited the path of totality in Vermont, and watched the eclipse with glasses and filters for the cameras and tripods and vans open so we could sit down (and H. even brought chairs!). Very comfy! (H. rejoined us after rethinking a plan to go further east, in view of an engine light appearing.)
The kids and two adults are now watching Damsel on Netflix. The rest of us are getting some alone time. It’s nice and quiet and I’m really loving this.
Also, today I learned about Somatic Experiencing TM Peter Levine’s therapy, which sounds pretty interesting. I look forward to hearing what happens when (if?) the person who told me about it pursues it.
We’ve been eating Loaf and chicken and berries and chips today. It’s not painful at all. There was also some homemade granola, toast, mandarins, apple slices, carrots.
