I went to the dentist.
I took A. to her first appointment with a therapist. I sat in on it. The therapist is really good!
Between those two activities, I walked with M. I did the 3 mile loop by myself while having a delightful phone conversation with J.
Also! Gift list hilarity! R. for reasons that remain obscure to me decided to _try to buy me a gift_ off my amazon gift list. Why. Whatever! Anyway. Here’s how that went down. I said, man, this is such a great time of year to order things. They show up immediately. He said, but they lost at least one package. I said, really? He said, yeah, a pair of shoes. I was like, what? He said, a pair of shoes was delivered according to the Show but I couldn’t find them. I’m like, sure, because _they were a gift for M._. I texted M. that they arrived. Then R. says, I ordered you a pair of shoes from your wish list. I was like, I don’t have shoes on my wish list. He said, yes you do. I got him to show me what he ordered. I said, I don’t want those. I hate Nikes, and I don’t want any slippers. He canceled them, but insisted they were on my wish list.
Here’s what he did. He went to the gift registry, and searched _on my name_. He _knows_ there are tons of walkitouts out there! There’s another one in this town — people remark upon this. Frequently! There were 2 letter state abbreviations on each of the walkitouts listed. None of them were for our state. WTF. This is _honestly_ worse than anything anyone has ever pulled by telling me in email that, no, really, I know them, I’m in their class or whatever. _My husband told me there was stuff on my wish list that was not there!_
Anyway. Hilarious. Also, distracting.
The Kasa Tp-link power strip is in the donate pile, replaced by an Amazon branded powerstrip. That old network is now fully decommissioned. Yay.
Nearly every single switched light in the house now has an Alexa switch on it. It’s so weird. But cool! And everything is working great so far!
