Probably the last IEP meeting for T. He’s a young man now, and we couldn’t be more proud of him.

I went to TJ’s to buy chocolate chips, and while I was there I also bought peanut butter and some cherry tomatoes. I was thinking BLTA, with the last of the guac, but I realized I didn’t have anything leafy for the L (except cooked greens) so I had a chicken sandwich with guac, tomatoes and pickles instead. R. bought some Bell & Evans pre-cooked chicken tenders and A. turned her nose up at them so it’s apparently on us to finish them. Apparently the 2 pounds for $10 triggered his innate frugality. No milk products, so I’m prepared to eat at least some of them, while simultaneously realizing, wow, food quality around this house has gone up a lot over the last few years.

While poking around at various news sources today, I ran across this astonishing piece about the Garbutt house in California.

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2023-10-23/dov-charney-garbutt-house-bankruptcy

Charney was the American Apparel Guy. He’s way past super-broke (he’s in bankruptcy in part because some hedge fund loaned him $20 million to take American Apparel back over and he failed in that endeavor but also did not return the money), and the house is apparently in exactly the kind of complaining about cancel culture, liquor bottles and ash trays and lots of pets squalor that you might expect. The details are wild. This should satisfy your FAAFO needs for the week, if not month.
