I got up a little before 7 today, which after Monday’s 5 am seemed like sleeping in. I did go back to bed after I dropped A. off at school, because I could tell that I was getting cranky from two nights in a row of too little sleep.

I had not heard back about when was a good time to retrieve A. in advance of the 2 pm zoom funeral, so I called the front office and they pulled up her schedule and I went to get her at 1:23. I was, inevitably, there 8 minutes early and blew it all attempting to log in to something to read something and she was in and belted before that process completed. *sigh* I really need to get my password manager logged in fresh _before_ I leave the house, because it doesn’t trust me logging in _outside_ the house. Helpful. Not.

Funeral started late anyway, which is fine, because I had to reboot the Portal anyway; it wasn’t letting me enter the passcode. Not sure what went wrong there, but rebooting fixed it. I put on some makeup and a black dress and necklaces. I try. It was nice to basically have a family zoom and also see people do the thing for a funeral. Rabbi’s son J. did the bulk of the service, and with MIL (ex-wife of decedent) doing a reading from Romans about not judging (appropriate! And if you’re thinking, wait a minute, well, you should have been there for all of those Eastover celebrations. Nothing like a groaning board laden with haroset _and_ ham). Then there were family reminiscences: my son first, then oldest daughter, her daughter the oldest granddaughter, then younger daughter. After that, the zoom ended and everyone went and ate a lot of pie and ice cream. Fortunately, my husband had enough lactase to share.

A. is doing some homework, then we are going out to dinner.

I walked with M. earlier.

I also sorted through my night time clothes drawer and my t-shirt drawer, and a couple drawers in the closet. I’ve got a couple craft projects lined up, if A. agrees (she is allowed to take the items to use as is, if she wants to). I _was_ going to convert T-shirts to v-necks, but when I looked at them, I was like, you know, these would make great pillow cases. They are the right size, and they are soft.

Tomorrow, the menfolk return home, so the house will no longer be quiet, which is also fine. Altho I’ve really enjoyed the quiet.
