Thursday: walk, rain, tarts
Dec. 15th, 2022 07:53 pmI made chocolate walnut tarts, using the not just caramel jar in the fridge. I made goose fat pastry; it turned out super tasty, but my pastry continue to be very mediocre — at least 2 of the 3 tarts leaked into the custard cups. Not that it matters!
I went to Trader Joe’s to get peanut butter and chocolate chips and I bought some eggs, bacon, and produce while I was there but I forgot to buy hamburger buns. Oh well!
I walked with M.
I met with ML, and we chatted for a couple hours. Very fun! I had put some walnuts in a pan with spices, oil and the not just caramel and they turned out nice. I also got out the rest of the berries, after composting the ones that had turned fuzzy.
ETA: Oh, yeah, other cooking happened. I cooked the bacon and I made waffles.
