Because it got over 70 degrees today, the slider and windows are open. It is extremely pleasant. Also, I got to sleep in, because A. is home with a cold. I probably could have sent her in with the cold (fever only 99 degrees), but why.
I also canceled my walk with M., because I don’t see any reason to share that with anyone outside our household. I mean, obviously someone shared it with _us_, but I’m trying to be frugal. Or something.
I had a delightful phone call with K.
I took down the winter decorations (paper snowflakes on slider, a snowman and ice skating mickey and minnie, the Nathan Pyle crystallize crystallize crystallize picture), and replaced them with a more springtime theme (basket with pink plastic “straw” bedding and 4 wooden easter eggs).
Recently, I ordered new handkerchiefs for myself. I have not done this in a while (years, like, a lot of them, and efforts to figure out how long via my blog and amazon order history have not been super forthcoming, so I think I’ve had these handkerchiefs for a really long time and they may have originated at target or something). The replacements are really nice. The old ones were literally starting to shred — like, near the edge but not at the hem. Weird.
Conservatively, these were more than 7 years old. I knew those lifecycle analyses on hankies vs tissues were bullshit, but I have a much better sense of the scale of the bullshit than I used to have.
