Sunday: walks, legos, no sunbasket
Aug. 22nd, 2021 08:19 pmI was supposed to get a SunBasket today, but I think maybe that was disrupted by the storm. Perhaps it will arrive tomorrow. In the meantime, R. went to the store and got some tomato paste and I made red sauce so we’ll muddle through somehow.
I dismantled lego 31120 C build plus moc, and put it all away (bag of largish plates, bag of light bluish gray, bag of dark bluish gray and black, bag of reddish brown and other earth tones, bag of everything else). If you are looking for a reasonably priced set that will provide hours of building and rebuilding fun, and you have any tolerance for the castle theme, 31120 is freaking awesome.
I have the #4 set of bags left on Trafalgar Square. I don’t really love the Architecture series. Not sure why, I feel like I ought to, which may be part of the problem.
I did the mile with M. I did the long walk by myself. I had a nice chat with my sister (funny, since we just spent 5 days in a house together, but that’s a good sign for how we are doing in terms of getting along well in a rewarding way for both of us).
R. and I went to Colonial Liquors and spent a grand. It was fun! I’ve never spent that much on liquor all at once except for a party, and that maybe only one or two times. This was just stocking up on whisky, beer, vermouth, wine, and a few other odds and ends. I have no party planned, but I’m thinking maybe start trying to invite one couple of family at a time over for dinner. Maybe people will be willing to do that. There’s a lot of fear out there.
