Monday: In Which I Cancel T-weekend Plans
Nov. 2nd, 2020 11:00 pmBack in August, when things were pretty good in the northeast, my sister and I planned to have her family drive up, stay at a hotel near me, and we would spend several days together. I did not want to travel; she seemed to be fine with dealing with whatever the restrictions were. I had not gotten around to telling her, hey, you are going to have to get everyone tested within 72 hours of coming up, when a new round of restrictions occurred. I had a chat with her, and we concluded that, you know, maybe not. So I cancelled the hotel rooms, and I am now trying to figure out zoom T-weekend with a lot of different people (probably multiple zoom sessions, but maybe one open session that I run for a while), that does _not_ involve people chewing on camera, but does maximize feelings of togetherness pre- and post- chewing. I am thinking after bird goes into oven is a good time, and post-main meal / pre-pie is probably the other good time.
