Thursday: Hogwarts disassembled, train in office, broken bed

I completed the disassembly of Hogwarts (Lego 71043). I did not do it perfectly. I tried to correct errors when I found them. (Wait, why do I have a piece there? *pages backward* Oh, that should have been in bag 5. Ooops.) I did not totally succeed. Most of the mistakes involve the tiny decorative bits on the rocks. Also, I cannot figure out a way to extract the little blue tubes so I just left them in place. The lego tool does not work awesomely (I am sure this means I am Doing It Wrong) for separating some pieces, so I resorted to an envelope opener. This may have been a mistake. I scratched a couple pieces. Ooops.

I moved the train, and assembled enough track on the filing cabinet to put the train on the track. The loop is too big to fit; I am waiting for a custom board I had made (Etsy) to arrive to set on top of the filing cabinet (and another stand for additional support that is almost but not exactly the same height as the filing cabinet, so there will be some kind of shims involved, or maybe just layers of fabric to get them level), so I can assemble the loop of track there.

One of the plywood slats in A.’s new bed broke. And it happened after all the hardware stores closed (because, bed). Oh well! That is a project for tomorrow.
