Thursday: walk!
Mar. 26th, 2020 12:36 pmI got to walk with J. I was so happy! We practiced sort of social distancing. Virtual hugs only, and stayed on opposite sides of the sidewalk (so more like 3 feet apart than 6). So delightful to get to walk with her, and talk with her. Would have been even nicer to sit down and have coffee and a treat after, but probably we are not quite there yet and will have to wait to pass the peak and get some guidance on when and how we can relax our vigilant precautions to avoid spreading the virus.
A. had a morning meeting that worked this morning. Yay!
I got T. to go for a walk, so the next challenge is to try to talk A. into a walk with me. Could be a three mile day. It would be good for me, because I have been eating quite well lately.
Today, I made black bean soup and corn bread. The corn bread was very experimental: sourdough from the crock, masa from the freezer, a couple eggs, molasses, some spread, I forget if I had to add water, potassium bicarb for leavening and to even out the acidity from the sourdough. It was great, but really could have used more salt. Easy enough to fix at the table with butter or spread, tho!
The black beans were the last of the tetrapacks of beans. From now on, it is dried beans, and never have to worry about expiration again. Woot!
