We went over to my sister’s house to do laundry. One of her daughters, my daughter and my sister then went out to get mani pedis. R., T. and I returned my rental vehicle.
I used the fyllo dough to make nut tarts. I did not use enough oil but it still tasted really awesome. I will try again tomorrow, but melt some of the earth balance ahead of time and find a pastry brush or whatever to spread it. The cooking spray is not quite enough.
I also ate a lot of cole slaw and spinach salad.
We went to The Void and did Jumanji: Reverse the Curse. A. died by falling off the logs with the crocodiles. I got to be Smolders and enjoyed the hell out of punching the bad guys. It was awesome. A. was Ruby Roundhouse; she got to punch bad guys, and was animated as if she was kicking things. C. and R. were Shelly and Mouse; they figured out the dirigible puzzle.
We had dinner at Coastal Flats. It was good. We had a nice discussion about the Jez article about doing nothing, and the puzzle that is people who cannot tolerate unscheduled / unstructured time.
Before The Void, I got some coffee at the hotel, because I was a little undercaffeinated. Because there was silk nog in the room, I added some of that, and once I was there, I figured, what the hell, and added some ango and Peerless 3 year rye. Not bad, but not awesome; it really needed cinnamon I think.
