I went for a walk by myself in the morning and with M. in the afternoon. I had a bowl of Cream of Wheat for dinner last night and that seems to have been fine. Today, I had rice with mushrooms and an egg, and a very tame version of a donburi sauce.

_Spy_ was really fun, but in many ways feels like a gigantic shaggy dog story. If you can make it through the somewhat painful setup, once McCarthy is out in the field, it is a blast. Statham is fantastic at being stupid and wretched and ludicrously adorable all at the same time.

SPOILERS

I was super amused by the post credits bits with Statham and McCarthy in bed. With the champagne and beef jerky that was stolen from 50 Cents helicopter.

It was a little odd watching two Jude Law movies back to back. I mean, he is not actually the main character in either one, but still.

I am thinking maybe The Rock next? Maybe Central Intelligence, but I am not sure.

ETA: OK, Central Intelligence was delightful. Bloopers at the end were hilarious. Very well choreographed fight scenes. While the Kevin Hart character’s marital relationship was only on screen a little bit, it was crucial to character development and influenced the overall story arc, in a really adorable way. Very, very, very funny movie.
