I thought I had left my scarf somewhere, but it turned up on top of the trunk at the base of the bed. Convenient! I thought maybe I forgot it at Karma the night before. Small favors!
I picked up 3 bottles of China China that I special ordered at the liquor store. I bought some Taza chocolate bars while I was there.
A. and I drove out to the Northborough Kohl’s, because when T. and I bought her holiday sweater there on Saturday, they did not remove the security tag and I didn’t realize that until today. Ooops! We had a nice chat both directions. We talked about gravity and mass and conservation laws (the physics kind). I told her about Rober’s Glitter Bomb video with fart smell, an overbuilt bait package to get a little humorous justice out of package thieves, given that local police have been slow to respond, even with high quality video of the crime in action. She watched it when we got home, and then rewatched it a couple more times, then started watching everything that Rober has ever done for YouTube. Pretty funny stuff, and a lot of great life lessons (like the economics of arcades and games at carnivals) that I had totally failed at communicating to her are now fully understood in awesome detail. Just, wow. R. was like, yeah, I watched those last year. And I’m like, hey, you find more videos that teach that kind of awesome life lesson in a humorous way with tons of kid appeal and a solid moral universe, you share those with the kids. Please.
ETA: I had a great breakfast, walk and talk with A. and came home with Christmas goodies (scones and spice cookies. Yum!). I also had a lovely convo with K.
