We lived across the street from what my father referred to as "the Jewish cemetery". He made dumb jokes about it ("they're just dying to get in there" "they make the best neighbors, because they're quiet").

I wonder if he knew that his cousin's mother-in-law, father-in-law and, eventually, husband, brother(s)-in-law and assorted spouses were buried there. I don't mean nth cousin however many times removed. I mean his dad's older brother's daughter's kin-by-marriage.

I wonder if he knew.

Because I _know_ he didn't tell us.

ETA: It occurs to me that if Harry's stone says "beloved husband and father", there _is_ a kid around somewhere. I just have to find them.

Oh, yeah: the NEWSPAPER!

About $27 to the Seattle Times for access to their archives and I HAVE FOUND CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN!

Wooooohoooooo!

I'm a little excited. Just a little.
