I would not have expected Nate Silver to weigh in on the topic, nor for his opinion to involve the research he is doing for his book, much less then also include the Freakonomics guys.
Silver's arguments (can't just do geoengineering, have to reduce emissions too; if you don't trust climate models because computer modeling sucks, geoengineering modeling should be treated with equal suspicion) make a lot of sense to me.
