I finished _Sleep and Society_ by Simon Williams. I enjoyed it more as it went along. And I'm starting to see convergence in sources, which is nice.

I've also been paging through Olbermann's book, which is amusing, because it's just a collection of all the Worst Person segments, many of which I've already seen. But funny, nonetheless.

I now have the stack of sleep books. For that much money, it should be thicker. Ah, well. The two expensive sleep volumes (Steger/Brunt and Carskadon) are specialist collections of papers with (probably) some course use, which I think makes them more of a text and less of a monograph. But they aren't textbooks in any typical sense. OTOH, not as much appeal as that Breastfeeding: Biocultural Perspectives thing. The bindings on these things are pretty awesomely horrid, too.

You would not _believe_ how naptime is handled in Japanese day-care centres. Really exactly the way the world should work, if co-sleeping were normal, and we nurtured small children the way we should.
