treadmills, redux

Okay, that was a frightening online shopping experience.

After digging around to find out what folding treadmills Consumer Reports recommends, I wound up at Amazon looking at the Bowflex Series 7, which appears to have all of the desirable characteristics (folding, suspended, variable incline) AND to be at a reasonable price point (1399, no tax in NH and free shipping for some unknown reason, but probably that means they pay for the shipping out of a discount from the manufacturer, and if I'd looked around I could have saved another hundred or so).

Took maybe ten minutes.

This is either really, really right or really, really wrong. I'll let you know after this puppy arrives.

Shipping estimate of the 18th; delivery estimate of the 22nd to the 26th. I don't think I believe this.

Wow! Please post about it when you get to use it some. I want a treadmill, but have been pretty concerned about the priciness of good ones and the danger to small mammals (feline in my case, obviously Teddy in yours).

Amazon sent an updated delivery estimate in October, yet the shippers have called and said they'll be here tomorrow in the a.m., thus not only within their stated window, but at the very beginning of it.

Helluva thing.

I will definitely post when we've tried it out. We're going to have it in the basement, where Teddy is Not Allowed, so I'll only be using it when there is someone else watching Teddy (unless I get really gutsy and trust the baby monitor and my ability to get my ass upstairs in a timely fashion).
