Wednesday: walks, phone call

A. called from California; nice to hear from her. I was still feeling pretty down about the election when we chatted, however, over the course of the day, I have started feeling a bit better. More of the races that I contributed to have been called, and I was super excited that Cori Bush won! Need more exclamation marks, really.

I walked with M.

I walked by myself.

T. had his swim lesson and hung out with the sitter. I read about Denmark planning to cull all of its pretty freaking huge mink population (they apparently are the big supplier) because there is rampant covid, it has a mutation, and we know it can spread to humans. Gah. Dunno who had minks with mutated virus on their bingo card, but mark it down I guess.

While I was trying to avoid the news, I did make a number of phone calls, so that was nice. I have many things to take care of on Saturday: flu shots, drop off car to have winter tires put on, etc.

ETA: I also went through email and deleted a LOT of email. Nice, repetitive, needs to be done at intervals task that does not involve looking at news. Mostly.

Makes me wonder who the heck was wearing all that mink. I realize it takes a lot of mink to make one coat, but I had thought fur was almost entirely out of fashion. It would not be the first time I was wildly wrong about fashion, especially the more expensive end of same, though.
