Fit is a 1.5 4 cylinder gas engine with 8 spark plugs. It and the gear box take 5w15 or 0w15 motor oil. I was able to get 44 mpg with the 5-speed.
The new one is an automatic with sequential shift available through flappy paddles. It's still a 5 speed. I don't know if it's better or the same. R. is unlikely to get worse milage since it shifts way sooner than she would as an automatic.
Haven't touched a leaf. The Fit drives like a Honda.
