Whoever Is Doing Merchandising for Dinosaurs Is Bad at It
You know the merch team sucks when you try to buy something with the logo / theme / character / wtf, and no matter how hard you look, you either cannot find anything, or cannot find anything close to what you want. Think: pretty much every female character in SF / action movies / etc. until comparatively recently.
But there is something beyond misogyny / sexism afoot! It turns out the dino merch team is _terrible_. People are out on the internet hunting for realistic looking dinosaurs of various sizes (but a few inches across, basically), so they can spray paint them gold and put them on wreaths, use them as Christmas ornaments, etc.
Why can’t you just _buy_ gold / silver / etc. tinted dinos? I mean, if this is a thing, a good merch team would already have it out there. The markup you could get on that would be pretty bonkers, too. They are leaving money on the table here!
