I asked JB to put together a schedule because there was a lot of stuff to do. R. drove A. to and from, and I drove out to the construction site. I went over the hanging height of various pendants, and we had to do yet another shuffle of the blue Ziba pendant, but I think it is going to work AND be really cool in its new location at the foot of the main stair. Both light fixtures are in the wrong location, one HAS to be moved and the other really should be at the top of the stair to the basement in our wing of the house. We’ll see how that goes. We never did get around to setting electric mirror heights.
MC and the rest of us went around and reviewed window treatments, again, and that went well. I later had to pick out a roller shade color for my sister’s kitchen and living room, and I still need to clear that with her but I am not at all concerned. It’s going to be so pretty in there.
I paid and JB ordered lunch from The Big Y for everyone on site, so that was nice. Their sandwiches are tasty. I got the small BLT and JB made sure it was totally safe for me. Woot! The crew was really sweet about the whole thing. The pizzas smelled fantastic.
A bunch of us went over to the metal studio after, and that was really fun, as always. I was so tired by the end of it, that I sat down as we were going over the surround for the overhang at the main door (a post certificate of occupancy project). Someone else in the office asked if anyone wanted a beverage, because there was leftover beer and a cider from previous office parties. I wasn’t really paying attention, but it eventually got into my brain and I asked for the Downeast and it was yummy, restorative, and completely (along with AC and being seated) dealt with the collection of pain that had been building up.
Fun day!
