Saturday: holiday card, less than greater than, walk
I walked with M.
I worked on the holiday card.
R. and I went to less than greater than.
It was a very nice, quiet day. We got a bunch of laundry done. I also read some. And I thought about the ducting that is in awkward places in the bar and the two kitchens. I did some research. I think I want to have copper ducting in the bar, and stainless steel in the kitchens. My sister seems amenable. I also found DecoShield for covering the fire sprinklers in the living room, and R. is fine with that.
I’m feeling like these problems are fundamentally pretty simple problems, that come down to a combination of thinking about my values (I don’t like the hide things in a way that creates grinding annoyance) and thinking about what is actually possible. At that point, it’s quite obvious what the right choice is. It’s a nice feeling.
I also had a bunch of ideas for the walk through closet, that may or may not actually be necessary depending on what the walls wind up looking like in that space.
And the Harris / Walz sign arrived! Yay! I also sent email requesting a Yes on 2 (make the MCAS less mandatory for high school graduation) sign. M. feels very strongly about this, and I agree with her. But even if I didn’t care, I feel like someone should be out there supporting her perspective.
